Oats Cashmere launched in 2009 as a luxurious ultra hip, high-quality knitwear collection for the modern consumer who appreciates simple luxury, great quality and a beautifully designed product.
Oats Cashmere is sourced from the thick fleece of the cashmere Pashmina goat. It is considered to be some of the world's finest cashmere. Goats are combed then dehaired before their natural shedding season. Both methods are time consuming and tedious which results in the highest quality of cashmere. The finest quality cashmere is based on yarn purity using longer hair strands which give the garment a flatter and tighter feel. Once the garment is washed, the strands get fuller and softer. Cashmere goats are low-maintenance and thrive by free-grazing on natural pasture.
